I've been on a few multi day backpack hunts and, though successful, each time I wished I had a little more room in my pack. I didn't want to get a new pack so I had to be VERY careful about packing because there was no extra space. Fortunately, I found the daypack lid from Mystery Ranch. I hate to use cliches like "game changer" but that's exactly what this is. This lid does so much more than simply providing extra space. There are so many times in the backcountry that it's helpful to drop your main pack before getting into certain areas/situations. Now I can quickly snap off this lid, which comes which quickly converts to a small daypack, and move forward with only basic essentials.

This, like all of the Mystery Ranch products I've had, is very well constructed. The materials are solid and the zippers always work flawlessly. This daypack lid is amazing and I can't recommend it enough for anyone venturing into the backcountry!

I bought this pack because I needed a new one for the upcoming elk season. Since purchasing the pack I've taken it on two elk scouting trips and have rucked with it (45lbs) many times. This is the most comfortable pack I have ever owned. Carrying heavy loads is a breeze with this pack!

This pack is both incredibly well made and incredibly comfortable! Once again, Mystery Ranch has outdone themselves when it comes to build quality. I no longer have a need for body armor so I took off the easily removable BVS pieces. This pack is awesome!
