sturdy and wonderful

I bought this hammock for a backpacking trip down the Olympic Coast last season. My husband and I are not small people. He is 6'1" and 215 lbs; I am 5'7" and 165 lbs. We fit in this hammock just fine and I didn't worry about its ability to support our weight. We put it up when the tide hemmed us in for several hours at at time. I don't know how we enjoyed backpacking before we owned a hammock! I have since purchased 4 more for family members. This is a great investment.

One of my all-time favorites

Mountain House Beef Stroganoff literally changed the sport of backpacking for me. On my very first trip out, fighting fatigue and high wind at the top of a ridge in Teton National Park, I was prepared to tell my husband I would be going home in the morning. He put up our tent for shelter and handed me a hot package of beef stroganoff. The hearty meal made me feel much better. I settled down and decided to continue the trip. 17 years later, I still love backpacking and I still enjoy this particular flavor a great deal. There is no substitute for a hot dinner at the end of a long day.

A sure hit.

We recently took 6 teenagers backpacking along the Olympic Coast. Mountain House meals were crucial to our success. A hot, hearty meal at the end of the day gave the kids something to look forward to and helped fill up their bellies. Lasagna was well received by all. My only complaint is: the Pro-Pak contains a little less product than the original packaging. I'd rather find extra space for the bulky package and have a little more food.
