Great functional shoe

Written on Apr 28, 2018

A solid shoe that wears like a boot. It offers ample support where I want it and as a nice aggressive tread pattern for light and moderate climbing and should be good for anything class III and below. The only things I do not like about the shoe are the lack of stowage of extra cordage from the lacing system- it just kind of flops about when you tighten the system down and I do not like that. The small elastic loop at near the toe of the shoe is insufficient to keep the extra lace secure. Another thing that I do not care for is how heavy/thick the shoe fabric is. For a non-waterproof shoe, it seems unnecessarily heavy and restricts breathability considerably with the tradeoff perhaps making for a slightly more sturdy/resilient frame around your foot.

All in all what I expected from Adidas which I have actually come back to over many comparible Saloman shoes due to fit, price, and LONGEVITY- the Adidas Terrex and Rockadia series just seem to take a beating and keep going considerably longer than all my Salomans have.
