Second Pack Newbie from United States, VA Public Profile
All my life I’ve always had slightly fragile feet. Going on any hike or backpacking trip longer than six miles often leaves me with some small blisters at the end of the day. Before willing to try some messy extremes like putting Vaseline on my toes and feet, I wanted to try some sock liners. I’ve only tried these once so far in mid 40 degree weather but they felt good and held up well. Best of all no blisters. Not sure how well they will fair in warmer weather but first try was a success.
With my previous pack I always found myself unloading items when searching for things I needed while setting up camp. Although I might have packed it well for hiking, you often have to go back to your pack for cooking essentials and sleep gear which might change accordingly to weather. This is where I enjoy the access from the top of the bag or the front. There aren’t a ton of bags with front access. The bag is very durable and will last a long time if you are willing to go with a bag that weighs more. I appreciate the atheistic of the zippers and buckles as well as the bag itself.
