I have been looking for a waterproof down ski jacket for a while because layering a shell over a regular down jacket is bulky and annoying with all the zippers and I don't care what all these hi tech insulations say, down keeps you warm when all else fails. This coat really does the trick. I skied in temps of 5 degrees and felt comfortable. Its got a fairly slim silhouette and long enough arms in size medium for someone 5'9" with reasonable coverage of lower back for a tall person as well (though that is something I'd like a little bit more of). However, the very best thing about this coat is the hood. I have never had a hood fit this well on any coat I have ever owned. With a pair of goggles you can stay completely warm in this hood without a face mask. The soft lining that goes across the lower face is fantastic and the hood does not impair your vision like most hoods. I usually hate hoods and don't ever go out of my way to buy a jacket with a hood but this hood was a revelation. Love it. Also has zipper that won't let the wind blow through (double protected). Great jacket for the coldest ski days.
