Light but fragile

Written on Apr 13, 2015

Nice design, super lightweight (only have Kelty mesa to compare). The nylon ripstop feels like a teflon, waxy, greasy coating not sure how to describe but it seems very resistant to water(only camped once didnt rain properly). The fly screen however needs to be more heavy duty. My dog decided to paw it, I was watching him and he hardly put any pressure on it and ripped it. (Yes I know its not designed to be dog proof). I like how every thing is thought out well from the guy ropes to the swivel cross pole, the way the poles click into the bottom of the tent Jay feet. Its nicely designed/engineered but I would sacrifice a couple hundred grams for heavier more robust material. The Copper spur model might be better comprimise in this regard
