Pretty useful item

Written on Jul 21, 2017

I got this stove from Camp Saver a couple of months ago. Except for the fact that the piezo igniter didn't work, everything else has been OK, and the listed boil time of 2:45 for 1 pint is accurate. The MSR Windburner stove would boil the same amount of water in 2:15, so it is faster. It would also work better in the wind, since the Primus only has a partial windscreen on it. (You could tweak a windscreen for it out of foil). But at less than half the price, the Primus is a pretty good deal nonetheless. Everthing fits nicely together, and you can keep the fuel canister attached to the stove inside the pot. That makes this compact unit super-convenient to unpack and fire up quickly. If the igniter had worked, I would have given it 5 stars.
