First I'll say that these shoes certainly are comfortable on my feet. Unfortunately within a few weeks of casual wear, a section of one sole came off. I contacted Hoka right away with photos of the defect. Their response was that I needed to ship the shoes to them at my cost, and after inspection they might get me some replacement shoes after a month. A dozen robotic emails later they had changed their tune only slightly in that they would do me the one-time courtesy of a prepaid shipping label. They never seemed to understand my repeated explanations that I can't go to work in socks...

I wish there was room here to post the whole exchange as it's some funny reading, but my faith in the brand( now under the Deckers Brand) has taken a big hit. One of the emails told me to look for my Ugg boots in the bushes because the delivery men sometimes hide them there. (No I did not order any Ugg boots)
