I recommend

Written on Oct 22, 2022

I’ve been wearing the Lowa Innox GTX Lo TF shoes for everyday activities and for hiking on easy trails. I thoroughly tested them on the Moesgaard Trail and concluded that I feel like I’m hiking in running shoes but with better support and stability which is indeed a great thing. Had I actually been wearing running shoes, I would feel the pebble stones under my feet but in the Lowa shoes I didn’t feel a thing.

I recommend the Lowa Innox GTX Lo TF shoes to those who need a pair of comfortable hiking shoes for technically easy trails (for rocky terrain you need hiking boots – for example the robust Lowa Renegade boot). If you often hike in warm and dry conditions, go for Lowa Innox Lo (without GTX) instead as this model does not have a Gore-Tex lining and is thus much more breathable. The best things about the Lowa Innox GTX Lo TF hiking shoes are their low weight, stability, support, traction and shock-absorption. The disadvantages are breathability (Gore-Tex) and price. The Innox shoes are at least 15% more expensive than similar products from brands such as Salomon, La Sportiva etc. However, competitive products do not provide as good performance as they utilize cheaper materials. Especially the PU midsole will amp up the price, regardless of brand.

The product is great

Written on Dec 20, 2021

The product is great, it is very light weight and compact. My only complaints are that it was listed as 'royal blue' and the one I received was bright yellow, and the other complaint is simply the lack of a hanging system. The hammock only has on small loop on each end and no clip or hook system.
Overall I like the hammock but it did have the previously mentioned shortcomings.

Water bottle is great

Water bottle is great. Love not feeling like drowning with the lid design. Only con is when unscrewing the lid on top I sure when it is all the way unscrewed. So I find myself spinning the lid more or less than needed

Fast and light

The Cirque feels like a burly trail runner: breathable, comfortable, light, and flexible. The proprietary Oboz footbed is supportive and, for my foot, more comfortable than similar products from competitors. Although the toebox is roomy--in a good way--the lacing system hugs my foot, leaving me feeling secure and confident on descents. The Cirque is a great shoe and will be my "fast and light" shoe for hikes of any length.

lightweight and warm jacket

Written on Dec 12, 2020

Lightweight and warm jacket. Its low weight and packability means its easy to always have a warm toasty layer with you.
Pertex Quantum fabric keeps the wind out.The jacket allows plenty of room in the shoulders to move, but is cut slender around the middle. It allows enough room for a sweater below it. It is perfect under my rain shell. In other words, it's great for layering. If you are large around the middle, you should get a larger size. It is Marmot's usual exceptional quality workmanship.

Comfortable and warm mat

Written on Dec 06, 2020

To inflate you can just hold the clever one-way valve open and let the mat inflate, or as i do give it a few puffs to fully inflate. And to deflate I flip the valve lid over to reverse flow and squeeze and suck the air out. It rolls and packs up into a reasonably small pack (about 1ltr bottle size)
In use the mat doesn't lose air, and the foam cells and air trap warmth very well indeed, in fact when laying on it, you feel as though it is heated from below.
I'm glad I invested in this, its a great quality mat, comes with a patch kit for repairs

Great jacket

Written on Nov 01, 2020

This thing is a beast. Every review has been accurate in saying you should size down. I feel that it has ample room to layer up for the cold, but you can easily wear a Tshirt under this in 10-20 degree Fahrenheit weather. Sweatshirt will easily get you into the -20s. I have a lighter jacket that can hold similar temps than this, but given its “puff” factor, I will say that this is still a very light, and really sleek jacket.

Works great

Originally bought this for one of my daughters. She raved over this bottle for keeping her hot coffee hot, and when the top is properly sealed, it never leaks. I use it for ice water and it works great.

The bag is very nice

Written on Aug 06, 2020

The bag is very nice. I have used it in temperatures bellow freezing and in the snow without any problems. It packs very small and doesn't weigh much. There isn't any sort of color or yoke, although this doesn't seem to be a problem. The price is a bit steep for the bag, but for down it is not really that bad. The shell material is water repellent and drys fairly quickly. It is better than the comparable North Face bags.

Light and very spacious

I've used this tent a few times. I especially love the large front door, once unzipped i just flip it over to the side and have a huge opening, much easier to get in and out of then regular center zippered vestibules. i'm 183cm so i use Long sleeping bags and have plenty of room to fully stretch out in this tent. I have had it in a pretty big storm and it did great in heavy wind and rain. It packs down really small and is very light for backpacking. Very happy with this tent and would recommend.
