I think it's critical to a review to contain the reviewer's measurements, otherwise any comments related to FIT are absolutely POINTLESS!!! I based many purchases on such opinions, only to have to return the item because the comments were so off!!! So please, if you say that something fits "perfect", for the love of everything holy, provide your measurements for some actual objective value!!! Everybody has a different idea about what the "PERFECT"fit is! Rant over.
Parts of this review are from a Microlight vest review I left somewhere else not long ago, but applies to the jacket as well.
I am mostly a size Medium, with a few exceptions. For context, I own a Patagonia Nano-Air, Arcteryx Atom LT, Outdoor research Interstellar and Whitefish etc. all Medium size and all fit me very well. Also, I prefer a trim, well tailored piece of clothing without too much excess fabric.
I bought both size M and size L, based on people's opinions that the fit of the Microlight is very trim, but it was nowhere as slim. I was swimming in the Large though, it literally fit like a garbage bag!
The Medium fits very well over a baselayer and a fleece like the Kuhl Interceptr, but not overly tight. As a comparison, I tried a MHW Ghost Whisperer in Medium and it was way tighter, I doubt I could comfortably fit the same baselayer and a fleece under! The Microlight is just a very comfortable piece of gear and beautifully form fitting!
