Review for
Dynafit TLT Speed Turn
Before getting these bindings I owned the Dynafit Radical TLT mounted on a pair of K2 Coombacks. I liked the light weight paired with having a ski brake on the binding; all was good till a ski popped out on a ski run at the resort (my mistake) and shot down the slightly hard-packed snow like a missile. The brake did not stopped the ski from gliding like I thought it would.
I was incredibly lucky the ski didn't hit anybody and that some nice fellow skiers who were stopped way down the slope saw the ski coming and got a hold of it for me.
An incident like this in the backcountry means a lost ski. Not a pretty situation to be in. That's why I switched to the TLT Speed Turn bindings (lighter, no brakes) which use the Dynafit Guide Leash (included in the box).
Not only I don't worry about losing a ski in case of a release (I like my bindings on low DIN settings) but I also shaved off 360 grams by doing so. It does take a bit of practice to step in the TLT Speed Turn compared to the Radical TLT (the later has a stopper piece which helps aligning the boot toe with the tech pins perfectly).
I love this binding so far!

Dynafit Denali Skis
I have the 168cm Denali, I am 5' 5", 150lbs. I skied the Denali on groomers, chopped-up powder, hard pack, and water ice and all I can say is that they just handle all of it amazingly well. Combined with the Dynafit Turn TLT they are a dream to skin up. Haven't tried them in powder yet, but I suspect the generous early rise makes for a nice float. A bit of chatter in the rocker became noticeable only on water ice. An amazing ski!

Super tent; great improvements!

I haven't the chance got to test it on a trip, but after a quick set-up indoors I can say that Mountain Meteor 3 exceeds my expectations in terms of design, construction, and materials/fabrics. The tent has a very large vestibule, huge area space for 3 persons, almost vertical walls, and one of the most important features (for me at least) LOTS of air-vents (1 front, 1 rear vestibule + 2 huge ones
