A solid hiking shoe

This a very solid and capable hiking shoe. While it lacks many features of the higher end Salomom trail running shoes it is good at what it is designed for: hiking vs running. I find that the tread pattern is grippier on wet rocks and muddy conditions than other of Salomon's running shoes. I do wish that it had the same lacing system as the higher end running shoes.

I have nearly two hundred miles backpacking on them and find these are extremely comfortable shoes. I love them.
I Love This Pack

After two overnight trips, I can say that this is the most comfortable ultralight pack that I have ever used. It fits so well and carries the load so well that with 20 lbs I don't even know that the pack is on my back. I was initially afraid that with the cuben fiber back panel that the pack would be hot. While my back does sweat, the back panel absorbs no moisture and dries extremely quickly and does not have a wet clammy feel. I feel that I have now found the pack that I will use on my 2015 Appalachian Trail thru hike.
