After watching/reading many reviews I decided this was the best combo. It boils 2 cups of water very quickly in a covered pot. The simmer ring damps the flame down nicely to heat a can of beans or stew. The unit sets up and tears down quickly and easily. It's very stable. I am able to carry the stand,stove,wind shield, 2-2 Oz. Nalgene bottles of fuel, and a Light My Fire striker inside my MSR
