I love everything about this tent except it's size. It is well made and pretty lightweight for a 6-man tent, but it is not a 6 sleeper and 5 would be max. The aerospace shelter is a cool addition but not worth $300. I returned both because they are not functional for my family of six.
This is the T-Rex of hiking footwear. Mud, snow, rock and streams...or all the above. This show is durable, sturdy support, cushy-comfy, and quick to get on and off. Only con: sometimes I feel like my ankles want to roll with the rounded fat tire bike tread. Other than that best boot I've ever owned, Under Armour and the Tor ultra from Hoka One One have completely reinvented trail footwear.
I highly recommend this tent for all you lightweight backpackers. It's not advertised as an all season tent so don't expect it to hold up in high winds. I took it up in the Chugach mountains for a two nighter. It was easy enough to set-up but remember not all hiking poles are created equal. Make sure you do a test run at home before you head out. It kept me dry and it seems pretty roomy for two, (I'm 6 foot, 190). It's a single wall tent, so ventilation isn't radical but better than most single wall tents. The wind blew it down flat once. I figured out a better angle with the tie-downs and it was happy camping after that. I'm sold on this one. Love it and the tiny weight allows me to pack other comforts in my pack, guilt free.
Lightweight and worth packing these on our last backpacking adventure. I've taken these on two trips since my purchase a couple weeks ago. The first was up in the Chugach Mountains, it was cold, windy and wet. These chairs were perfect for keeping us up off the cold wet ground during our camp and refuel stops along the trail. They are high quality, durable, light, quick to set-up, pretty compact (easy enough to find a spot in or attached to my pack), and they are super comfy. Wish I had bought these years ago. I've had my eyes on them but didn't like the $100 + price tag. Got these on sale for under $60. So I bought two! Thank you CampSaver.com you are one of my go-to places to find quality gear at a great value.
