I am very active, I hike about once a week. These pants are the best all-around pants I have ever owned. The breath, they stretch, the don't chafe, they have an integrated belt that does not interfere with a pack. These pants hold up better to abrasion than most. They are great!

I use the vest for high intensity winder activities like nordic skiing, snowshoeing. I layer with a good capaline base layer, a Mountain Hardwear transition half zip and this vest. The combination is bomb-proof.
