Absolutely the MOST comfortable shoes EVER!

I got these for walking even though they are advertised as approach shoes, and they are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever owned. No breaking in period. They are somewhat rigid but in a totally supportive way, not restrictive. The sizing is perfect, and basically, everything about this shoe I find to be high quality and well built.

I have owned a few pairs of Salomon shoes over the years and all of them suited me just fine! This pair that I just bought - the X ULTRA 3 GTX is one of the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned. I have long, narrow feet and wear a Women’s 12 or 13/men’s 11, and these shoes are exactly the right width for me. I’d say a C width. These shoes feel solid - especially the sole. They are somewhat rigid but not to the point of being inflexible or uncomfortable. I like the extra stiffness. It feels very supportive while walking and my feet don’t slide around at all. I highly recommend them.

I live in a windy area in the Pacific Northwest where the power goes out often enough to consider buying a 64 oz “Growler” in which to keep water hot for up to 12 hours! As an avid tea drinker, I am very happy with my purchase. It keeps water cold for 24 hours as well. AND....the price was right!

This jacket is styled nicely - not a boxy fit, but more attuned to the feminine form. It has pit zippers, which are essential for keeping cool and not sweating inside the jacket on warm, rainy days. I am definitely happy with my purchase and recommend it overall.

I found the sizing to run small. I usually wear a medium, and I bought a large in this jacket and it was snug in the shoulders and across the back. If you have any muscles in those locations, this jacket will be tight on you. Too, the sleeves are too short. I am 5’11” tall. Other than these considerations, the jacket is actually water proof, or at least water resistant, and it has PIT ZIPS to help with venting heat during exercise - like running or bike riding.
