This sock really feels light. I look forward to wearing it with my Keen sandals in warmer weather. Right now (February in Missouri), it's a little light. It also is a wonderful color. I like color!
For a light sock, this feels very cushy. The large wasn't too big for me and I wear a size 8 women's shoe. Be aware that Smartwool is a wonderful blend of mostly wool, not 100%. It hugs the foot nicely.
