Shirt sizing is spot on. You shouldn't have to go up or down from your usual. It fits well with all of the dimensions for the average build. Fabric is very lightweight, but also tough. Not the most breathable, I prefer cotton/poly blends for hot weather, but the poly/nylon blend is so light that it's not bad.
It's wrinkle resistant so good for travel as well.

Pretty stoked with the jacket overall, it would be a five star review if not for the lack of a third zippered pocket. There are actually to zippered hand pockets on the outside and two unzipped ones on the inside (or vice versa if you're wearing it reversed)
Like the style, which is understated and subtle. Depending on the color choice, you can use one for visibility while walking, hiking or biking, and reverse it when you're just wearing it casually.
Performance seems on par with the best of light jackets, don't be fooled by how light and thin this is. I've found it to be to be a good blend of windproofness, breathability, heat retention, and moisture management. The best use would be for moderate aerobic activity like hiking or walking in freezing temps up into the low 50's.

I purchased the jacket to use mainly for moderate hiking, in cool, rainy or windy conditions of 35°-55° F. Even though it's thin it surprised me with how well it retains heat. Wish it had a chest pocket, it does not, just two zippered hand pockets and non zippered inner hand pockets since it's reversible.
The fit is listed as regular, however I find it more of a trim fit. It's more of a European regular fit so if you plan to layer underneath this you might want to size up. On me, 6" 200lb 42R size usually a large was definitely trim. Won't be able to layer much under it.
Style is very understated and you won't look like every other person out there wearing blaring logos from TNF, Patagonia, Columbia, Nike, UA, etc. Just the Salomon S can be seen from a distance.
