Bought this thing so I could qualify for free shipping and was so thankful to have it when I needed it. This thing is a power house. On a recent thruhike of the LSHT we encountered a lot of ticks and unfortunately for our four legged companions they were the easy target. Over the course of a week this key took probably close to 25 ticks off humans and dogs alike. Simple, easy design, and works better than twizzers to remove the whole tick. Will be carrying this everywhere I go this summer.

I love this thing. It's simple, stylish, practical, and just what I needed. Construction feels well made and sturdy. The chalk string closure is tight and I don't have to worry about chalk spilling out where I don't want it. There is a back pocket which fits my phone perfectly. Front mesh is perfect or an emergency snack or rock brush. Really happy with this purchase.

I love these trekking poles. I spend too much time to admit researching which poles I should buy for my next thru hike and I am glad I landed on these guys. Surprisingly light for aluminum poles with awesome ergonomical grips and soft wrist bands. Can't speak to the durability yet but they feel and look a lot stronger than my pervious pair (not BD). One thing to note is the "men's" poles extend to a longer length than the "women's", this is important for anyone (like myself) who uses a trekking pole tent, i.e- the women's is not long enough for my tent so I had to purchase the mens.

I've spent my whole life in the midwest and have therefore had my share of winter slips, falls, and bruised tailbones on winter ice. I finally bit the bullet and bought these microspikes to hopefully save me from my yearly fall on ice. I love these things. Have taken them around some of the park systems here in the twin cities where they have given me all of the traction. Can't believe it has taken me this long but so happy to have this extra sense of security.

I keep this whistle attached to my shoulder strap while backpacking. It's simple, lightweight and absolutely necessary in the event of an injury, large animal or sketchy people. I thankfully haven't had a serious situation to use this but tested it and almost broke my ear drums.

I searched high and low for responsibly priced trekking poles for my first pair (I didn't want to spend a lot of money if I didn't know if I'd like them). Turns out these were a great find. I've gotten a good 50 miles out of these already and they are showing no signs of wear. I like that they came with both the cages and the spike covers.

These are awesome socks. I was looking for a tall but light trail sock and these are perfect. The fit is spot on and the cushioning provides enough support and comfort without over heating or crowding my feet. The quality feels great can't wait to add more to my collection.

Really simple long spoon. The long handle works to get all the edges of any dehydrated meal bag. I have found that the outer edge of the spoon can be a bit sharp but not to the extent that it would cut your mouth but feels similar to a cheap ikea spoon. All in all tho, its a lightweight, simple eating utensil.

Awesome, sharp, simple, light, and quality knife. I've had an Opinel knife for several years and they will last a lifetime. I find that when I am in the backcountry I do not need the frills of a hunting or bushcrafting knife. This suits my needs.

Admittedly, I purchased this compass in a haze and panic of trying to get everything I needed for a five day backpacking trip. This compass is exactly the quality you would expect from a $4 purchase. It is basically rendered useless if you need to find a location/your location as it does not have the declination marker or ruler.
