Most Helpful Positive Review Better stove with a caveat on the plastic closures
This is my second Everest stove. I bought the first one in 2011 and it endured numerous multi-week river and car expeditions. The first one had two issues: (1) it was almost impossible to simmer and (2) in the middle of nowhere Utah the regulator attachment to the stove broke leaving the unit inoperable. Camp Chef made good on a replacement regulator and fixed that design flaw. I retired the first model when the burner rings rusted out. The new stove is a definite improvement in that it can now simmer almost as well as a Coleman! Whether the plastic lid clasps are beefy enough only time w...

Used once - awesome

by Pete, Verified Owner from VT, United States Written on April 26, 2021
Have only used once but seems very high quality. Well built. Strong but controllable flame. Simple design that seems like it will hold up well and be easy to clean. Takes 1 lb propane canisters available at any hardware or outdoor store. Colors are great. Pretty big though. Make sure to look at dimensions and make sure the size is right for your needs. Cooking space fits a 10 in cast iron skillet

Camp Stove

by JB, from OK, United States Written on July 13, 2020
Large, stove well suited for family car camping or overlanding. Stove heats food evenly and quickly with high BTUs. This is my first camp stove and it was chosen based on other owner's reviews. This stove does not disappoint.

Hot stove!

by Jim, from KS, United States Written on August 3, 2019
This camp stove burns hot just as described! It's light but feels very sturdy. Very portable. The igniter fired the burners up on the first or second click. I am excited to use this stove at our campsite! The price of $114 was very affordable too!

First Glance

by clan0013, Verified Owner from MN, United States Written on August 19, 2018
I was asked to write a review within a week of receiving this product. I have not gone camping in this time period, so I can't give this a through assessment. I did set it up in my dining room and fired it up once. Seems to work well. My only complaint so far is that getting the walls attached and then taking then detaching them isn't super simple quick, as my previous Coleman stove. There is a bit of awkward manipulation that needs to happen.
Pros:
  • Good Flame
Cons:
  • Wall Attachment
Best Used for:
  • Cooking

EVEREST CAMP COOKER

by Daryl, Verified Owner from AUCKLAND, New Zealand Written on November 25, 2017
Fantastic little unit, highly rated and an excellent runner...... Lives up to expectations! GearLab has thoroughly tested these and rates them as having great burner control for low temp simmering right up to fulll on boiling. Take two full size pots / frying pans..... Very happy with the purchase. Just in time for Summer here in NZ

works great

by Russell B., Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on July 10, 2017
This camp stove works great. Boils water fast and also allows for adjustment of the flame for other cooking. I was hesitant because other reviews mentioned that the low flame adjustment and simmering weren't that great, but think it works fine.

Everest Camp Stove - Works great, lots of power.

by Matt R., from IL, United States Written on June 18, 2017
I've used the camp stove on one camping trip so far and worked great and has lots of power. The latches on the actual stove differ from the one pictured on the website. The actual latches are plastic and look cheap compared to the metal latch shown online. So, that is my only complaint.
