Collin's Review of Canada Goose Skreslet Parka - Men's

This is the Canada Goose to buy if you want to spend time at high altitude, where you need to stay warm, but don't want the super heavy weight of most of Canada Goose's jackets. Bought this in person from Camp Saver. I'm 6'0", 170, and, while I typically wear medium or even a large in other brands, the size small is more than big enough in this. It's TTS if you plan to wear many layers on underneath, but I've comfortably worn a Canada Goose TEI5 jacket (same rating as this one) with the hood up at 11,000' in 0 degrees F with 100mph wind (windchill of -40 F) with nothing but a t-shirt and headgear (neckwarmer, face mask, and hat) on underneath and been plenty warm, so my experience makes me think that you'd never really need to layer in this jacket unless you're actually going to be in the arctic or sleeping somewhere extremely cold overnight (well under 0). The nice thing about this compared to the standard parka models, in addition to the lighter weight, is that it's much more breathable. Jackets like the Resolute or even the Chilliwack (not nearly as warm as this one) get sweaty pretty darn easily. I haven't had that experience with this. I can be moderately active in it, even in the high 20s, without getting uncomfortable. I've tried and owned quite a few Canada Goose jackets, and this is my favorite.
