The snow mantra is real coat--large, warm, and a bit bulky. Some have complained about the weight. Seems fine to me, although I have had co-workers try it on and many agree that it is to heavy for them. Bottom line, if you want light, this is not the one for you. The ruf is removable and the rear flap zippers make it nice in and out of the car. It is bulky however, and it makes it a bit more difficult to look over shoulders changing lanes and the like. One adapts to this coat, and the warmth is ample reward for the effort. The body warmth return is immediate putting it on with the sensation that it could almost misunderstood as active heating (electric vest).
No worries about being cold therefore. The last few days have been down to -9F with nothing getting through and no cold spots either.
I picked white which looks nice, but concerned about dirty salt and spilling items on it. Brushing up against the car makes for a dirty spot. Black might show this too. Great would be blaze orange or blaze camo, and I could have one for hunting! I froze last Nov in 4F weather after white tails. They are missing a niche but well-heeled market there.
