I am 183cm, 84kg, a typical size L in outdoor clothing. The Timber Shell Jacket in size L is a great fit for me. The black color looks extremely cool and stylish, I have not seen any other serious hard shells that is as good looking. Like the length very much which is longer than Arcteryx’s Alpha SV and Beta LT, and is similar to the Theta series I think. The jacket is trim fitting but, unlike the Alpha SV and Beta LT, it can still layer in Arc’s Cerium LT down jacket and still looking stylish. The fabric is surprisingly quiet and soft unlike the typical GTX pro shells I have come across. The jacket feels heavier than typical hard-shells, especially the hood and collar, but this is the side effect of designing the drop hood to look very cool I think. I have not had a chance to wear this outdoor but so far this looks to be one of the most desirable piece of hard shells to get hold of. I highly recommend it.
