I normally wear Chacos and I am very comfortable with the Chaco footbed and its higher arch. I have noticed that these shoes squeak when I wear bike socks or other synthetic socks. With natural fiber socks they don't squeak at all. Unless your socks are form fitting the socks will bunch up on the texture of the foot bed as you put your foot in the shoe.
