This will keep you dry in a downpour

PVC won’t breathe but it’s totally waterproof. There are vents across the back that might help release inner moisture. The PVC is fairly light weight but it is bonded to a layer of nylon on the inside so I think it’ll be pretty strong and the nylon helps it slip over other layers easily. I bought it to leave on my open boat in case of an unexpected shower. Bet it will last for years. Cheap waterproof protection: exactly what I was looking for.
