I have one of these I purchased (30) years ago and have used it all over the world. I just replaced the catalytic fins on it, and it still works perfectly! I will give it to my daughter who is dabbling with her own motocamping adventures, so I treated myself to a new one! The current version does not have the cleaning lever, but does not need it as they improved the shut off/throttling valve, and the new one runs on unleaded gas as well as Coleman Camp fuel. I have not tried it with gas (and probably will not unless I am out of fuel in the wilderness) but it does seem to be much more fuel efficient than the older unit. It also seems to have great BTU output although that is a subjective opinion.
In short, if you buy one of these little beauties you will not be disappointed. Yes, it's a bit old school, but having relied on one in wilderness camping situations everywhere from Death Valley at -259 ft MSL, to the jungles of Ecuador, to 12,000 ft MSL passes in the San Juans in Colorado, to the Austrian Alps, I can say without reservation this is one well designed and constructed product.
Pros:
- Reliable as an Anvil, light, fuel efficient

The Coleman Duel Fuel stove is a winner. Compact size, awesome heat, and the flexibility of running it on camping fuel or unleaded gas. I got mine to have on hand for emergency backup and suggest you do as well. I researched this drive for two months before buying and Campsaver had the best price on it.
Best Used for:
- emergencies
- camping & backpacking
