Consider your climate
I am using this shirt for rainforest field work. I prefer synthetic quick-dry fabrics there because of the humidity. The material of the shirt is on the thick side and seems cheap (although I've only been using it for a week). I'm a little disappointed, but it wasn't expensive, so I guess my take-home message is that you pay for what you get!

Didn't Work For Me
Had great expectations for this shirt. Loved the purple plaid. Ordered the Large and was disappointed with the fit. I'm 5'7" and 155, pretty small through the chest. This shirt fit tight in the chest, so much so that it gapped a bit. Also the sleeves were very very long. Ended up returning. Might work on someone a lot taller than me (and with long arms).
