I've been using Altras for the past 4 to 5 years for my hiking footwear due to their wider toe box. I bought these on a whim based on what appeared to ba a wider than normal toe box based on the pictures of the sole of the boot. Alas, this was not the case. I returned them for a refund and mulling over whether I should take another risk and try the 2650 mid-heights which specifically claim to have more room in the forefoot.,,
Pros:
- appear to be well built
Cons:
- too narrow in the toe box for me
