The downside of buying footwear online
I've been using Altras for the past 4 to 5 years for my hiking footwear due to their wider toe box. I bought these on a whim based on what appeared to ba a wider than normal toe box based on the pictures of the sole of the boot. Alas, this was not the case. I returned them for a refund and mulling over whether I should take another risk and try the 2650 mid-heights which specifically claim to have more room in the forefoot.,,

- too narrow in the toe box for me

Great boot
This makes my third pair of the Danner 452s. The boots are Very comfortable with good arch and ankle support. No break-in period was needed. They seem to run true to size. My order from Campsaver arrived quickly and was in good shape.

The best boot
These hiking boots fit like a glove. My foot is wide, sometimes my feet are called duck feet! I buy this boot every time I see it on sale. They last me about 6 mos, using them as a work boot and hiking boot.
