Light and Tall
I have a lot of packs, but this is the lightest that fits me. It's just big enough to carry what I need. I have several other Deuters. It's a good quality company. With this light weight, it still has 2 side pockets, 2 side zipper pockets, a zipper compartment on top, 2 zipper compartments on the hip belt, and a drying compartment on the back. The inside has a sleeve for the water bladder or anything else you want to use it for.

Great Backpack
Wasn't clear on what the EL stood for prior to the purchase. A regular length backpack might work a little better for me but it is still ok. My son is taller than me and this may ultimately suit him best it is very good quality, comfortable and easy to adapt for diverse uses - day hikes or overnights. We have 3 Deuter packs now, and won't consider another manufacturer.
