I picked this backpack to be used for repelling. Once I loaded a 200 foot rope, harness, helmet, and water in it, the suspension gave up. I could see and feel the hardware poking me in the back. Just not enough support built in for any real non-uniform load, like biners, or harness. Probable is a good pack for a day tripper with plenty of soft clothes to load up in it, just won't hold real gear. Lastly, there is NOT a water sleeve inside, nor is there a hole for the water drinking tube to exit the interior of the pack. And to cut weight, they only put in a water bottle holder on ONE side of the pack. Deal breaker for me. I returned it.
Pros:
appeared to be well built
Cons:
Too light and no water system
Best Used for:
non-technical day hiking
Would recommend: No
