This belay oriented biner keeps mechnical belay devices well positioned along the stronger main axis of the biner, just as it was designed to do. The simple addition fin or horn if you will is more than adequate to facilitate the intended purpose. Very nice addition to a light, strong biner with the typical DMM smooth gate locking action.
