I absolutely love the diameter of this rope and how it runs through my grigri and atc device. I found my 9.8mm rope was too slow. I love the 2 patterns. It makes it easier to get the right sides and find the center. I may still mark the center for the added convenience. Catches are not as soft as other ropes, but the drop test on this rope was perhaps the best I found for a rope of this diameter. This, in addition to my initial impression makes me think this rope will be very durable.
I did have to run it through a grigri twice before using it for the first time to get rid of all kinks. After that, it has worked like a charm and all my belaying buddies have commented on how great it is to handle. In fact, they have lovingly named it "Butter."
Pros:
smooth belaying
fast descents
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
climbing
Would recommend: Yes
