Even though this is for hammocks i just use it on its own with trekking poles and a few light weight stakes. Buying this was alot cheaper than buyinga brand new "tarp tent" but probably not as cheap as making my own. It works great. It has eight tie out points to get it nice and tight. The product is of a good size and is easy to use. Those were what I was looking for when it came to buying a tarp for hammock camping so I am completely satisfied. Please note that it does not come with tent stakes and you will need 6 of them with this model tarp.

I recently used this on a two week trip on the Appalachian trail, from Amicalola Falls, GA to Stecoah Gap, N.C. Through heavy rains and one thunderstorm, this rain fly didn't miss a beat- I never felt a drop of rain. The only problem I experienced was that the stitching got a slight tear where the slapstraps meet one of the tarp loops, but it didn't effect the functionality of the tarp on bit. Qui

Easy set up for sleeping in the hammock
Comes with a convenient stuff sack
The stuff sack needs a pull strap on the bottom
It would also be nice if it came with rope tensioners
