I like the ability to choose between two fuels, alcohol or fuel tabs. For meals take the alcohol burner. For a quick hot beverage take fuel tabs.

Great Cookset for the Price!

I'm an avid backpacker and I enjoy outdoor cooking. I bought the Esbit Spirit Stove because of it's size (can use for two people) and it's affordability. Extremely easy to use. The alcohol burner comes with a flame adjuster so you don't burn precious meals out in the wilderness. Since I'm conscious of my pack weight, the Esbit Spirit Stove wouldn't be my first choice, but it's certainly a grea

Small,light-weight and versatile. You can use esbit cubes, alcohol, sterno cans, even small pieces of wood for fuel. Not sure about wearability/longetivity of anodized aluminum though. Still, I recommend.
