Bought this stove alcohol burner for my spare cook set because It looked similar to the Trangia, but had what looked like a better, easier to use simmer ring. On receiving it and handling it in person I found that the simmer ring mechanism has a clip lock that needs to be disengaged before the simmer ring is opened. I think this may cause the simmer ring to break due to frequent flexing each time the clip lock is opened and closed. Other than that small concern I am generally happy with the product

This stove works exactly like a Trangia stove. I bought 3 Trangias. All 3 corroded on the side edge; cracked; leaked and flames were coming out of the crack. This stove is a perfect replacement of a Trangia stove. If this stove leaks, no problem, just exchange the cap with a Trangia cap and no more leaks. I hope this tip will help.
