Not bad when the price is right.
At $20, I feel I got my money's worth. If I had to pay full price, I'd have bought a $10 tarp and cut it to fit.
Pros:
- Same waterproofing given to the tent floor.
- "Wings" extend under the vestibules or can be folded under when the rain fly is not in use.
- Quality stitching (same as tent).
- Reduced price of $20. Thanks, Campsaver!
- Includes a nice bag, which is needed because the tent's stuff sack is barely big enough to fit the tent and the footprint with difficulty.
Cons:
- Dainty cords with plastic tensioners are used to attach the footprint to the tent poles. I greatly prefer grommeted tabs that lock into the tent poles. Eureka tells me they made the tent pole ends too short to do this. Seems like cost cutting to me.
- Full price is about $55 and that seems way too high.
Best Used for:
- Protecting your tent's floor
