We purchased this tent primarily for winter camping in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and it is perfect for this purpose. We regularly run into 30 to 60mph winds with blowing snow and needed a tent that was designed to stand up to our unpredictable winter weather but was light enough to backpack with when conditions turn too extreme for our 3 season tents. We also wanted something that allowed for reasonable ventalation when needed.

This tent meets and has actually surpased all of our expectations. I continue to be impressed with how well thought out it is. Bomb proof design and well engineered anchor points for guy lines, huge strong zippers, bathtube style floor, etc... Zip panels to cover or uncover ventilation mesh as needed. Factory taped seams, lots of storage pockets - right where you want them. This tent is simply very well thought out and I would not change a thing for winter use. For the money, I do not think we could have gotten a better 4 season tent. Love it!

The Eureka K2 XT 3-person 4 season tent is perfect for my purposes. The right size, 4-season tent, perfect for my needs, and demands - both for the warmth, wind and snow in the winter, and ventilation in the summer, perfect for my dual needs. Having just purchased it, haven't had a lot of opportunity ro use it yet, it appears to be exactlly what I need and expected! Did have the opportunity to own another Eureka Family Tent, the Sunrise 11 (now the Sunrise 6), for 15 years, it was spectacular and lasted all those years! Very pleased!
