Most Helpful Positive Review Awesome Shoe
These shoes are phenomenal. I really wanted approach shoes for, obviously, climbing approaches which often include a lot of scrambling where I go. I looked at a lot of options and chose these because they have a minimalist design and don't look like hiking shoes. They're extremely comfortable for j...

Cute and comfy

I have not had these for long, but so far I love them. They are like a rugged Toms shoe with better insole and traction. Love the color and have already gotten complements on them when wearing them to the gym.
Best Used for:
  • Approach shoe

Scrambling shoe

by Aly, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on October 28, 2018
I’m a beginner so these shoes helped me feel stable on the rocks . Good fit true to size. ..........… For the price not a bad shoe to use as a beginner............. made of a canvas material so the color shoes dirt easily.

Inexpensive, durable, comfortable approach shoe

by Brittany M., Written on August 9, 2017
This is my second pair of Cruzers. The first one lasted me 4 years of approaching, climbing, and wearing around town. I thought after my first pair finally died that I would get a more "normal" hiking approach shoe but after trying on a few pairs I ended up coming back to these guys. Frankly, I adore these shoes. They are comfortable and I feel safe scrambling around on rocks with them. I've taken them up some easy climbs and some offwidths and they've held up to the task. I've hiked 13 miles in them without blistering or broken ankles. I even pretend they look classy enough to wear to work.

Their only drawback is that they are in fact a canvas shoe. They aren't water proof and they aren't very warm. But that has only been a problem a few times, and I tend to just bring a second pair of shoes on multi-day trips so I can swap them out if needed or wear an extra pair of socks if its really cold.

I tried to move on from these shoes, but they just pulled me right back in!

Love the combo of fashion and function

by Shenoa R., Written on July 9, 2016
These shoes are awesome! They are super lightweight and oh-so comfortable. They might not quite as stable as some of the other approach shoes I've had in the past but I would now rather carry these up a multi-pitch/walk-off route than something burlier and heavier. I would probably use a different shoe if I was carrying a heavy pack for any great distance though.
I will also admit I bought these for the style. They are super cute as a casual shoe with jeans, tights, or shorts. I get complements on them all the time.
I bought them for a climbing trip to spain so that I can have a single pair of shoes that will have me covered whether I'm at the crag or exploring as a tourist.

Very happy with them

by basilyok@gmail.com, from BC, Canada Written on January 30, 2016
The split tongue makes it so they accommodate a foot of any volume. I have wide feet and I found them very comfortable. Bought them 1/2 size large and they're fine, very comfortable for walking. Surprised at the cushioning offered by what appeared to be a flimsy insole. The microfiber interior is great for delicate feet. Grippy soles. A good shoe.

Shoes that fit!

by Kelsey M., Written on October 30, 2015
I have very small feet (sz 5) so it can be very challenging for me to find comfortable shoes that fit. These fit perfectly! I have not had the chance to actually wear them to the crag yet, but I have worn them on several mile walks and they felt great. I've also bouldered in them and they perform pretty well!
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great materials, but wide fit.

by Molly, Written on April 3, 2014
I bought these to go camping and rock climbing. I like the style and fit, but they were a bit too wide for my foot. I have a narrow foot.
However, they rubber on the sole and on the toe of the shoe was great. Excellent traction when walking across slabs of rock.
