Most Helpful Positive Review Nice shoes, note sizing
Comfortable approach shoes, great friction. Isn't as stiff as other approach shoes but very light profile. A note about sizing for the women's: I ordered the size 8 and 9. Size 8 shoe label says: US(W)8, UK 6, Eur 39.5, 250mm. Size 9 says: : US(W)9, UK 7, Eur 41, 260mm. I've looked at a couple evolv shoe size charts and it doesn't line up properly. Basically these shoes actual measurements run larger if going simply by US women's shoe size. If you like a comfortable street shoe, go ahead and get your size, but if you want a more fitted feel for actual rock scrambling and easy climbing, order a...

The straps are too loose

by Sarah Galvez, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on December 1, 2018
I was very excited to receive these flip-flops. I had read some reviews that said the straps were very loose but I thought, how bad can it be? It's bad. They are far too loose, I can't even wear them around the house. Sadly I'll be returning them.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Straps are too loose

True to Fit!

by Ryan, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on September 24, 2018
Sport Climber here. Been using Evolv for climbing for many years with very good results. Especially with regards to durability. I'm getting my wife into class 3 and 4 hiking as a means to spend for time with her (and in a not so subtle attempt to get her into formal climbing). She love these! They even made her excited to start getting into the real outdoors. These aren't like the old school waffle stompers she was expecting. There well made, light, the style matches her fashion style and the durable yet sticky rubber is great for her confidence/security when making sketchy moves on more exposed hikes. One of the best parts about these shoes was they we're true to fit. We nailed it first go, with running shoe size. A really nice change when you're used to trying to size climbing shoes. She's really glad I jumped on these and bought a pair. Now it's my turn!!
Pros:
  • True to Size
  • good rubber
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • Comfort!
  • approach
  • higher grade hiking

Great approach shoes!

by Sarah L., Written on April 25, 2016
I wanted a light weight approach shoe that would be easy to carry up multipitches with and these are great. They have good friction and feel good to hike in, and for single pitch days, I love that you can flip the back down to use them as slip-ons. Big fan of the color scheme as well
