Mouse's Review of Exped Backcountry 65 L Backpack

This is the best pack I’ve ever owned in over 30 years of hiking! The build quality is tremendous: typical of all my Exped gear. It’s light, but solidly built. I haven’t had long enough to assure it’s long term capability. I did have a chance to load up for a short two day trip. It carried the load (approx 25#) effortlessly! I love the webbing for external carry, as well as the ability to access numerous ways. I do wish it had hip belt pockets, but I’ll add. ‘Nuff said. Looking forward to many journeys with this pack.
Pros:
  • Multi points of access, weatherproof, light and very well built
Cons:
  • No hip belt pockets
Best Used for:
  • Multi day excursions
