Most Helpful Positive Review Exped does it again....excellent camp (around the house) slippers
I do a fair amount of winter camping which was my initial reason for buying the Exped camp slippers. They are perfect for camping but they have emerged as my favorite around the house slip on and for the occasional dash into the yard with our dogs (even in snow). These slippers do everything they were designed for and then some. Size large fit perfect...I'm general a 10 1/2 street shoe. Our son is a 9 1/2 street shoe and the size large fit him perfectly as well. Need to mention: washable, compress down nicely for the backpack, and they are warm. The rubber soles do not slip on ice or wet...

Great for backpacking

by Aaron, from MN, United States Written on January 18, 2021
Exped slippers are lightweight and perfect for a backpacking trip. They have a hard bottom which allows you to wear them outside the tent. In addition, they’re very light and warm. These are the perfect second pair of shoes to bring on your next adventure.

Best gift ever

by RL, Verified Owner from UT, United States Written on December 22, 2020
My Exped camp slippers were gifted to me by my favorite brother-in-law and they are my favorite gift I have ever received. I wear them all the time, I even wore them to my COVID graduation party since the dress code wasn’t strictly enforced, and even though the Lichen green color clashed slightly with my cap and gown ensemble, I couldn’t pass up wearing them so my feet were nice and comfortable during the momentous occasion.
These adventure slippers are the perfect partner for any traveling adventure, from backpacking in the wind rivers, wedding parties in Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, or jaunts to sophisticated Boston. These really are the ideal footwear for any adventure seeker. That being said, my weekend trip turned month-long stay in Arizona was amazing, aside from the fact it was too hot to wear my cozy foot pillows. They probably would have not done well in the warm sands of the Philippines where I was planning to be this Christmas, but I’m okay with postponing the trip so I can continue to enjoy my anti-slip ice slippers in the Utah snow.
There is nothing more I wanted to do after long 12-14hr days of roofing, remodeling a 100-year-old Virginian house, sprucing up a Utah suburban home than throw my feet in my cloud clogs, and kickback.
These sleeping bags for your little piggies literally saved me as I battled COVID and prevented me from getting COVID toes. Thankfully I recovered without issue and was back to normal life after my quarantine. Although, due to my ...

Gained a spot in my pack!

by ajhikes, from NE, United States Written on February 19, 2020
I took these out for their initial weekend with temps down to 18 degrees. They performed great. It was nice having something this light weight to put on around camp, giving my feet a break for my trail shoes. I even wore them inside my sleep system when my toes got a little cold. The rubber outers seem solid and they have great traction. Since these pack small and weigh very little I’ll keeping them in my pack full time for now. We’ll see if I get tired of the insulation once summer hits.
Pros:
  • light weight & minimal space.
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • camp comfort

Surprising durability

by Jelly, from AK, United States Written on September 27, 2017
I pushed these shoes to the limit and beyond. Ended up scrambling over sharp rocks and mud in the pouring rain. Not what they are designed for or what I wanted to be doing in them. However, they kept my feet drier for longer than I expected and several times when my foot slid sideways on a rock I looked down expecting to see a tear in the lightweight upper fabric. No tearing. They dried quickly and are perfect for walking around camp. Nice and warm. I put them through a torture test and they delivered.

lightweight and warm

by Justin F., Written on July 5, 2017
I bought these for a camp slipper after hiking or hunting to give my feet a break from the hunting boots. They are really light (4 oz) and surprisingly warm, even without socks. The sole is thin and flimsy like a slipper, so don't expect to tackle gravel roads with them any time soon, but for their intended purpose, a comfy slipper around camp, they are about perfect!
