Low quality
I got this sleeping pad mainly for car camp. After couple car camping trip, the mat bulged a little bit at one corner. I didn’t think it was a issue until one night while asleep on the mat, a loud pop sound waked me up and realized it was the bulging expading in size. Now I have to deal with a giant bulge. This is an obvious defect. I love how comfortable this mat is relatively to it’s thickness but definitely not happy with the quality.
Pros:
- Comfortable. The mat compacts down to a small size.
Cons:
- Defects. Bulge at one corner

- Camping. Car camp

EXPED SIM UL Duo Sleep Pad
I purchased this sleep pad mostly due to to the fact my wife likes a firm mat for sleeping outdoors.
We have other pads that are single one person pads but lack the ability to not have a seem or empty space in the middle.
The other Duo type pads we have are more the thick air sleep pads and are rather noisy if you are a flip flop sleepers like we are.
This pad is large enough to alloy a couple of heavy flip flop sleepers to move freely all night without kicking each other.
The best thing is the pad is still light enough to carry on backpacking trips.
It is longer and is best to carry on the outside of your pack like most packers do. We also do kayak camping and this pad fits right in.
Comes with a handy compact foot pump that can also be used by hand pumping if you find yourselves inside with limited space.
All in all a very good sleep pad.
