5 10 camp Four approach shoe

by Michael B., Written on March 29, 2017
Can't give them a 5 star as I haven't worn them outside yet. But I've been climbing with the 5 10 Exum Guide which are great approach shoes and I really like them and expect similar from these. Good sticky rubber

I've worn these shoes for several years now on many day hikes as well as just going out of the house. The uppers are still holding together despite countless mileage. Initially they were quite stiff but never uncomfortable.
The construction is top flight and they give excellent support for a low-top.
Highly recommended, bullet-proof hiking shoe.

Five Ten Camp Four Hiking Boot

by Russell G., Written on October 16, 2014
I received this boot sooner then the estimated arrival date. It is exactly what I was expecting since I have been wearing this model boot for years now. As far as I am concerned this is one of the best boots out there, they do not slip at all on we surfaces especially rocks like other boots do and I use it for anything from trail jogging to biking and even backpacking. Does not need to be broken in and I never had any hot spots unlike all the other boots I have had.
Hope they keep this boot around for years to come.

Comfortable

I have an old 5-10 approach shoe - sizing seems about the same but this shoe feels a lot firmer fit. Shoe feels part of my foot

Best Hiking Shoe Ever

by Ron, Written on December 12, 2013
After years of wearing La Sportiva Exum Ridge trail runners on the slickrock of Southern Utah, I decided to try Five Ten. I wish I had switched years ago. This is an incredibly comfortable shoe right out of the box (no break-in needed) with a sole that grips like Super Glue. As for durability, we'll have to wait and see.

WELL MADE SHOE

by Joe Christaldi, Written on December 12, 2013
This is a good traction shoe. I have hike the John Muir trail in the High Sierra and had no problems with blisters or heal bruising. The unique lacing eyelets allow for a tight fit that prevents the toes from jamming the front of the shoe during descents. The sole is made of a gripping rubber that clings well to slippery surfaces. This is a well-made shoe and works well with long distance hiking

Stupendous 4 hiking , bouldering

by Frank, Written on December 12, 2013
I have been wearing theses shoes and their previous incarnations for years . Whenever they go on sale I buy an extra pair as I wear one out every 6 months of heavy use . I use them to run / jog on trails that would shred any trail running sneaker into recyclable fragments . On these same trails I am scrambling and bouldering . They give excellent support and cushioning for rough terrain and th

Great Shoe

by azhiker00, from AZ, United States Written on December 12, 2013
I love this shoe for the stealth rubber, it sticks to rock like no other shoe I have owned. I use to use it for regular hiking but the soft rubber sole does wear quickly so I now only use it for when I need great traction. I wear the shoe for canyoneering even though it is an "approach" shoe. My only negative would be due to my physical location, I live in Phoenix and the leather does not allow fo

Five Ten Camp Four

Great hiker and much lighter than full-size boots. Very good through rough talus fields and boulders. Can climb steep rock too. All around great shoe.
