Quality, but bulky

This is very well made and the G1000 is awesome. It's the eco material and is a little thicker and louder than typical. The sizing also runs large and has a pretty boxy fit (waist can be minimally adjusted via snaps on the back). I wear this as an outer layer against scratches and bugs and it does a great job. Probably not sufficient to provide any real protection against cold.
