Suits me to t

I'm a climbing/hiking pants collector of sorts. I was very anxious to receive these Hike Trousers. They perfectly hit the mark for me. YMMV. They are among the lightest, they are the best fitting, even the color was a hard to find traditional navy blue. They go with everything. The zippers are smooth like butter and every one of them can be operated with one hand. I was unsure about the thigh pocket positioning but it's fine. The material is very stretchy, and has a great feel, second only to my Ferrosis. They fit much trimmer. They compare fit-wise to my Quandarys. This is a very subjective issue, but at 6'4" and 195 lbs with no discernible butt, these pants are far more flattering than the Ferrosis or Zions. The reasons for fewer than five stars are picky and come under the heading of "building the perfect pant." First, I prefer auxiliary belt loops. The webbing belt included works fine, and the waist is a good fit, but I'd like the option of wearing a belt that obscures the gathered elastic waist. Call it old-guy vanity, but these weren't bought to be Sans-a-belt Slacks. Second, even at 36 Long, they could stand to be an inch or so longer. A 6'5" guy is going to feel like they're high-waters. Again, I understand that for a guy who is much beefier from the waist down these will be a fail. But for us slim guys, they're about a home run. I am thrilled with my purchase.
Pros:
  • QUALITY
  • Fit
  • Feel
  • Lightness
  • Zippers
Cons:
  • Marginal Inseam
Best Used for:
  • Hiking, summer wear when long pants are required.

Lightweight Kayak trip beasts

These are awesome if you're trying to stay light and deal with the sun and water. Stretch very well, great range of motion. Very easy to clean while in the river. Belt gets lost in the loops on occasion, but that's my only qualm.
