Well made, but serious limitations.

The backpack is well thoughtfully and well made. The material is very stiff and will take a bit of use to break it in. It's comfortable to wear, but the straps would not long enough for a large person. I'm 5'9", 170 and I have to extend them all the way to get it on. It's small, but that's why it's called a mini. However, the two side pockets, which I had hoped would be large enough for a thin water bottle, are too small to be of much use. I couldn't even fit my Samsung phone in them. IMO, it serves more as a small step up from a fannypack. You certainly will not be able to carry much in it - maybe a light lunch for one or two people. Don't expect to carry a laptop in it - it won't fit. Overall, a well-made mini backpack, but not very practical.

While we were in Canada, I visited a Fjallraven store and bought the mini version of their classic backpack. Before I made the purchase, I had been researching and looking for reviews but wasn’t really finding a lot, so I hope this review is helpful if you’re thinking of buying the Kanken Mini.

I purchased the Kanken Mini Backpack in the color “putty” which is a warm tan color that I thought was perfect for me since it’s a neutral and would coordinate with my neutral wardrobe.

Great outdoor pants

Great outdoor pants. Recently wore them on a day 2 night backpacking trip. During thes 3 days I think experienced nearly every weather possible. They did the job fantastically! Great outdoor pants. Sooooo cute♥️

Got the orchid mini Kanken during campsaver’s coronavirus flash sale at an awesome deal compared to all the Fjallraven retailers out there ... went back online to see if I could also order a sky blue as a first choice 2nd mini Kanken or maybe a lavender few days later and they were completely out of stock with backorders at regular price... ah well will stick to what I got. I cross-checked all the details of a real Kanken bag from YouTube and sure enough it’s an authentic bag! It’s big enough to be my work bag which I intend on using it for. Looks tiny but can fit lots.

Perfect small bag

Nice mini backpack

Cute and small

This pack is cute, but small. Great for kids or to use as a purse that can be a back pack. Colors are nice. Seems to be well made. Love the style. Still can't pronounce the name of the company but no big deal.

This bag is sooo cute!! I was a little hesitant in ordering the mini one instead of the original, but I have always wanted something smaller. It can’t fit so much more than you would think. I absolutely love it. And the color is amazing!!!

Cute/Tough little backpack

So much stuff fits in this bag. I purchased this item to take to disney world and it is perfect! The material is very strong and the straps are adjustable. Definitely recommend. The only con i have is that the packaging made the backpack get creases on it, but once you start using it the material straightens out. :)

Great purse

This little backpack is Fjallraven quality in a small size. I carry the classic Kanken daily as my work/purse bag but wanted something smaller for weekend activities and this backpack fits the bill. It holds the essentials, wallet, small cosmetic pouch, journal, glasses case, keys, water bottle with room for more. Love it!
