Probably the most waterproof shell available - no issues with stopping the rain; I tested it in the shower, and it does what it claims to do - keeps the water off you. Very big ventilation zips, so no issues with getting air circulation if you are building up heat - even without open the vents, the jacket breathability seems very good - no "sticky" feeling like some other waterproof garments. The hand of the garment is relatively soft, too - doesn't crinkle or crease like gortex or other 3 layer products. Overall very pleased with design, and fit - got this for my wife who is 5' 7 1/2" and weights about 140 - medium is a good fit - a little room for a base layer - but definitely doesn't need a large. Small would be too tight through hips and shoulders. The hood is pretty large, and the adjustment tabs are a little tough to manage, but its useable . My only other grip is the pocket placement - I get that Fjallraven didn't want to block the traditional hand pockets if you had backpack staps or waste pack on, but the chest only pockets are awkward and unusual for most... and when you aren't wearing a pack, or just wearing the jacket around town, it's nice to have traditional side pockets. btw, the sleeves are very long - thank goodness for the velcro adjust cuffs or it would be silly.
Pros:
Lightweight
Styling
waterproofing
Cons:
pockets
