I always knew that I had to have a pair of these Fjallraven pants. Needless to say, they performed beautifully on their very first outing. I did not go easy on them either.... I took them up the mountaineer's route to Mt. Whitney at 14,505 ft. My crampons cut my gators, but not my Keb pants. In addition, when I fell on the sharp point of my ice axe and cut open a small gash in my buttocks.... I was sure that I had cut my new pants too. I don't know how you can cut your skin without cutting the garment, but the G-1000 must simply be amazing. During the day it was snowing and freezing rain, but ...

Worth the price

These pants are obviously expensive, with distinct style, catering to an image-conscious crowd, but that doesn't mean they aren't great pants ... they are. The only nit to pick, is I miss the double button fly.

NICE G-1000 pant

Not all hikes are built the same and therefore not all hiking pants should be either.
The Fjällräven Keb Trousers are burly trekking trousers that mate Fjällräven’s well-known, strong, and abrasion-resistant G-1000 Eco in high-wear areas such as the seat and knees, with a modern soft shell material to provide stretch, allow for more ease of movement, and a little more breathability and functionality.

All around fantastic pants

These pants aren’t for a trip to the pub. These are working pants. They fit fantastic. The stretch is everything. I go from working on film sets in and out of cars all day, and then off to the mountains where I live on the weekends. I have never worn a pant that gives me that range of motion, look, durability and rain protection on one. Now I should specify, these aren’t rain pants… I tried and failed on a Vancouver rainy day to make these work as my all day pant… still needed rain cover. BUT, On days that aren’t all rain all the time, the pants don’t even allow the water to stick. Not having back pockets is a quick adjustment. For me, I love it. I’ve got radios on my belt, I’d rather all pockets sit a little lower as these do. Absolutely adore these. And now I have a couple pairs to alternate through the work week.
