Made for urban winter - Fjallraven Snow Flake Parka - Women's

I can't believe how much I LOVE this coat! Part of what I dread about winter is the bulky clothes. Most coats are unflattering, heavy and very constricting (like the little boy in A Christmas Story who can't put his arms down!). The Fjallraven Snow Flake Parka is exactly as described: comfortable, fitted, lightweight AND warm. I love the mid-length style, two-way zipper, deep pockets, cozy liner, comfortable hood, and elastic sleeve cuffs to keep the cold out. It's truly the perfect urban winter coat! I live in the Mid-Atlantic area and potentially winter temps could range from single digits through the low 30s during the winter months. Can be machine washed, but drying can be damaging. Be sure to read all care instructions. Do no dry clean! I was on the fence about the price, but after researching the company and this style coat I decided that it could be a life-long keeper. I also wasn't sure how I felt about down feathers vice synthetic filling, but I've never owned a synthetic coat that kept me warm. The company claims to be responsible and humane in their approach. I decided to release my doubts and go for it. And I'm very happy that I did. I purchased a size S. I typically wear a size medium, but these coats do run big. I'm 5'6" 140 lbs and size S fits perfectly. If you're on the fence about choosing your size, I recommend taking your chest size into consideration. Since the coat is fitted you may need a bit more room across your chest. I don't have a wide frame, but I have long arms and somewhat large chest. Good experience with my first Campsaver order.
